Special team will work in Autism Intervention Clinic
A special team will work in the Autism Intervention Clinic opened in Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi, which will include Pediatrician, Developmental Pediatrician, Neurologist, Psychologist, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Pathologist as well as Special Educator and Trained Nursing staff. Along with providing special autism care to children, facilities like EEG, NCV, vision assessment and BEA will also be available to the patients here.
What is autism and its symptoms in children?
Autism is a condition in which a child is a victim of a neurodevelopment disorder. Some children suffer from it from birth and in some children it starts appearing at the age of two to five years. Symptoms of autism in children start appearing early on.
Such as the child making less contact with the other person’s eyes, not reacting to others, taking less interest in the things around him, not focusing on the conversation, difficulty in learning language or other things, getting angry over things and so on. Reacting, having less control over hands and legs etc. Such children are unable to integrate into the social environment.
